The plot, half and acre of a former croft situated approximately half a mile from the main road, has outline planning permission and a private access. It is well sited and has lovely views across open farmland. More land may be available by separate negotiation. The surrounding area is steeped in history and has been occupied by people for over two thousand years, nearby are the remains of a broch (an ancient fortified dwelling unique to Scotland) and there are numerous listed and noteworthy buildings.

Directions: Travel south from Wick on the A99 towards Lybster. Before reaching Lybster at Clyth take a right turning, sign posted Camster Cairns follow the road for ½ mile.
Notes: As the area is noted for its rich heritage and ancient buildings, an archaeological survey must take place before any building work may commence.
Lybster is an unspoilt village which has all the amenities required for every day living including hotels, bank, health centre, shops primary school, bowling club, nine hole golf course and churches. There is a regular bus service to Wick where the nearest secondary school can be found. Lybster harbour was once a booming sea port and today it still plays host to a small fleet of small fishing boats. Recent improvements to the harbour include a Heritage Centre with closed circuit television for bird watching, seasonal opening of cafeteria, wash rooms and laundry facilities for visiting yachts etc.
